Where Style Meets Confidence, Career & Lifestyle

Tipsy Tuesday is Back!

There are seasons in life when you're constantly pouring into everyone else that you forget to refill your own cup. Over the last year, life asked me to slow down.

I faced unexpected health challenges, navigated personal transitions, embraced new opportunities, and found myself reflecting on what truly brings me joy. While I never stopped styling, speaking, creating, and encouraging others, I realized something was missing. I missed writing. I missed teaching. I missed having a space where we could sit together, have honest conversations about style, confidence, and the woman we're becoming.

So...welcome back to Tipsy Tuesday.

If you're new here, I'm Patricia, also known as Alwayz A Lady. For more than 15+ years, I've had the privilege of helping women discover the power of personal style. I've worked in retail leadership (Store Manager), styled private clients, produced fashion shows, covered New York Fashion Week, and now I proudly serve as a Senior Stylist at AKIRA in Virginia Beach.

Since joining the AKIRA team, I've had the opportunity to style more than 50 women, and every fitting room conversation reminds me of one simple truth:

Women don't just need clothes. They need confidence.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, "I have nothing to wear."

The truth?

Most women don't need an entirely new wardrobe. They need someone to help them see the potential in what they already own and thoughtfully add pieces that elevate their lifestyle. Style isn't about chasing every trend or filling your closet with more clothes. It's about building a wardrobe that works for your career, your travels, your social life, your family, and the moments that matter most. That's exactly what I do every day.

As a Senior Stylist at AKIRA, I help women identify pieces that fit their body, complement their lifestyle, maximize their wardrobe, and stretch their investment through intentional styling. One of my favorite conversations with clients is introducing them to the concept of cost per wear—showing them how one blazer, one pair of trousers, or one statement dress can create multiple looks instead of being worn just once. The best part?

Our styling appointments at AKIRA are completely complimentary.

Whether you're preparing for an interview, a vacation, a wedding, a networking event, date night, or simply ready to refresh your wardrobe, you can book a styling appointment, and together we'll create looks that help you feel confident before you ever walk out the door.

And if your needs extend beyond what we carry in-store, I also offer private personal styling and shopping services designed around your individual wardrobe goals.

Because style isn't one-size-fits-all. It's personal. Working with so many incredible women these past few weeks has reminded me why I fell in love with fashion in the first place.

It's never been about the clothes. It's about the woman wearing them.

I've watched women stand a little taller after finding the right blazer. I've seen smiles replace self-doubt after discovering a silhouette they never thought they could wear. I've watched someone who walked into the fitting room unsure of herself leave feeling empowered.

That's why I do what I do. Fashion may get your attention, but confidence changes your life.

As we begin this new chapter of Tipsy Tuesday, here's what you can expect every week:

  • Style education you can actually use.

  • Wardrobe tips that make getting dressed easier.

  • Behind-the-scenes stories from life as a Senior Stylist.

  • Advice on dressing for work, travel, special occasions, and everyday life.

  • Conversations about confidence, personal branding, and first impressions.

  • Insights from fashion events, runway shows, and New York Fashion Week.

  • Practical ways to maximize your wardrobe without overspending.

This isn't about perfection.

This is about showing up as the woman you're becoming.

Your Style Homework

This week, I want you to stand in front of your closet and ask yourself one honest question:

Does my wardrobe reflect the life I'm living today...or the life I lived five years ago?

If the answer makes you pause, that's okay.

Growth often starts with one honest conversation—and sometimes, one great outfit.

Thank you for joining me again. I can't wait to share this journey with you every Tuesday.

Until next week...

Stay confident.

Stay intentional.

And remember...

Your look enters the room before you do. Make sure it's telling the story you want the world to hear.
